Jessica Steen

 

Jessica Steen is a Canadian actress in television and film. She is known for her performances in Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, Homefront, Earth 2, Armageddon, Left Behind: World at War, NCIS, Flashpoint and the CBC series Heartland.



 



 Personal life



 Jessica Steen was born in Toronto, Ontario, the daughter of Joanna Noyes, an actress and Jan Steen, a director and actor. Steen is of Dutch, Scottish and Irish heritage.



 



 Steen, aside from her career in entertainment, is an environmentalist and a supporter of animal rights. Steen is a supporter of David Suzuki, the World Society for the Protection of Animals, and the Western Canadian Wilderness Committee. She is a certified diver, and has a solid understanding of several circus arts, including stilt walking, and fire-twirling.
