Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in the city of Havana, Cuba. The family moved to Miami at 2 years old. Ana is a child born in Havana Cuba with her mother and father, both at two years old, relocated to Miami along with her parents. Ana Maria Polo from Habana is the producer and host on Telemundo's "Caso Cerrado" which is among the most watched Spanish-language programs on the network. It was nominated as the Daytime Entertainment Emmy for Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards in the year 2015. In 2015 it ranked among the top performers across all demos. Polo was born on the 11th of 1959, Havana Cuba, graduated from Florida International University in Political Sciences. She then earned the PhD in Law from the University of Miami, and practiced for twenty years within Miami. Following her PhD from the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for more than 20 years. Polo was first exposed to the public via television in 2001 on Telemundo's program Sala de Parejas (2001) as well as other court shows where her expertise in law was utilized. Literature Works and Accolades 1958, she released her novel Los Hijos Muertos (The dead children) in which she won the Critic's Prize and Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute emigrated to the United States after leaving Spain in the year 1960. Polo is a breast-cancer survivor and regularly gives public speeches to raise funds. In her long professional career, she's fought to ensure LGBT equality. She earned her law degree in 1987 at the University of Miami School of Law.
